Trip around the darkest stars on the rooftop, lighting cigarettes to pass the time. I've been staring at the calendars for days and days and days. We are young enough not to plan our lives away. And yes, I know we've got something, my pulse is racing, racing. I know I would climb the highest mountains and walk miles, miles and miles in the hardest rain, if thats what it takes to see you again and play with daisy chains. // Hey sweetheart. We are ten thousand kilometers apart and the distance never felt further. I don't know where it all started, probably somewhere between kissing under one star and watching children in the park. We write everyday about how we need each other. Fill it up with corny cliche lines like: "close together or far apart, you will always be in my heart." I'm sure you've heard that one before. // So we don't stop believing... // Then we talk on computers. I trace your eyes and lips with my cursor, trying to tell feelings that can never be expressed with words. Sometimes it gets hard to see with my eyes blurred, but my desire has never been clearer: you in my arms, and mango trees in the backyard when we retire. But we can't talk forever through wires and wires and wires and wires, so we hang up, disconnect, total silence fill the room. Then I pick up my guitar, or go to a bar, and I murmur, as I shiver in my single sized bed, I murmur in my sleep about how I need you closer.
